Gas Wells
Natural gas is an energy source found in underground porous rock layers.
Drilling is required to find it. When a reserve is located, pipes are installed in the ground to collect the gas. Once collected, natural gas is refined. Wells are connected to a network of gathering lines leading to the TransCanada PipeLines Limited (TCPL). The natural gas we distribute in Québec originates mainly from the Western Canada sedimentary basin.
The natural gas is then transported via gas transmission lines to the delivery station.
